The origin of this font isn't particularly romantic, except that it is. The unromantic part is that it's my "getting back into practice for regular font design" project after having gotten a bit rusty lately, and it's a pretty basic, straightforward stress-font with just a bit of internal-damage 'frosting' along the tops of the taller glyphs. The more romantic part is that it's the first font my wife, Sandra, helped me construct. While I'm to blame for the design, she did excellent work assembling it for me, helping me past one of the key "bottlenecks" that prevents me from making as many fonts as I otherwise might. Helping me seems to make her kind of giddy-happy for some reason, too, so that bodes well for an increased output going forward! Either way, it was a lot of fun showing her how I do things and working together with her on a project.
